Sinter Bronze Bearings – Flange

Sintered bronze flange bearings and Bronze Collar Bush are rigid, temperature-resistant, and high-strength bronze bushings formed through the process of sintering or powder metallurgy. They are used in heavy industry, military applications, shock absorbers, home appliances, automobiles, and as bearings or bushings. The sintering process results in porosity, making the parts especially useful in lubricating applications, and they can be produced in large quantities with consistent properties and sizes. Sintered bronze bearings are often self-lubricating and offer both strength and flexibility

Sinter Bronze Bearings – Flange Size, Sintered bronze flange bearings are robust, temperature-resistant, and high-strength bronze bushings created through sintering or powder metallurgy. These bearings are employed in various sectors, including heavy industry, military, shock absorbers, home appliances, automobiles, serving as bearings or bushings. The sintering process leads to porosity, which is advantageous for lubrication applications, allowing for mass production with consistent properties and dimensions. These bearings are often self-lubricating and provide a balance of strength and flexibility, making them ideal for high-speed, low-load, maintenance-free applications.

The material for Sintered Bronze Bearings – Flange Bushings typically consists of a sintered bronze alloy. This alloy is often created through a powder metallurgy process, where fine bronze powder is compressed and then heated (sintered) to form a solid piece. The resulting material is characterized by its porosity, which allows it to be impregnated with lubricants, enhancing its self-lubricating properties. This makes the bushings ideal for applications where maintenance-free operation is desired. The sintered bronze material provides durability, resistance to wear and corrosion, and good thermal conductivity, making it suitable for various industrial and mechanical applications.

Sintered bronze flange bearings  Shapes and Types: Includes cylindrical bearings, flanged bearings, rods, filters, and silencers.

Sintered bronze is made by sintering and pressing bronze powder. The manufacturing process includes calibrating the tolerance of oil-impregnated bearings after impregnation. Bearings produced by this method have good mechanical properties and are self-lubricating.

Sintered bronze bearings are an excellent general-purpose bearing, particularly suitable for high-speed and low to medium load mechanisms. Cylindrical and flanged bearings have a long service life, wide application, and offer a high cost-performance ratio.

Lubrication Sintered bronze contains about 25% oil, eliminating the need for additional lubrication. If machining is required to adjust bearing tolerances, re-impregnation with oil is necessary. This can be done by placing the bearing in oil (e.g., SAE 20), heating it to 80°C, and then naturally cooling it to room temperature in the oil.

Customization Custom parts and special sizes can be produced according to order requirements. Sintered products can also be based on other materials, such as oil steel, bronze, and MoS2 bronze. If required, please contact us for a quote or more information.

MATERIAL BRONZE POWERED METAL (OIL IMPREGNATED) 1″ FLANGED BEARING

The material discussed is an oil-impregnated bronze powdered metal, engineered specifically for flanged bearings utilization. These bearings are crafted from SAE 841 powdered metal bronze, recognized for its resistance to wear. The production process involves mixing the powders, molding them to the desired sizes, and then sintering them in an oven to fuse the particles. Subsequently, the bronze bushing is resized by reinserting it into the die and compressing it to achieve its final form. The concluding stage involves oil impregnation, which ensures lubrication and corrosion resistance, rendering these bearings self-lubricating and economical. The oil typically used constitutes about 19% SAE 30 oil. These bearings are designed for operational temperatures between 10°F and 220°F and are packaged in plastic bags to maintain the oil’s integrity. They are offered in a variety of sizes, including custom dimensions, in both inch and metric units.
