Bimetal Bushing Steel backed bronze Bushings carring a sintered tin-lead-bronze alloy (CuPb30) as a sliding layer.
MATERIAL AND COMPOSITION
In order to improve tribological behavior the sliding layer can be machined with lubricating grooves for oil- or grease storage and distribution. In case of corrosive environment the backing can be copper plated.
Liner material: CuPb30
Load capacity: 25N/mm2
Temperature Max: 170℃
Liner hardness: HB30~45
RANGE OF APPLICATION
When soft alloy is plated on the bushing surface, it can be applied under high speed and middle load working situation, just like engine main bearing, connect-rod bushing, rocket arm bushing and oil pump side plate.
Bearing forms available in standard dimensions
Metric bearings and imperial bushings made to order: standard bushing forms in special dimensions, half-bushings, special shapes obtained by stamping or deep drawing, customized bushing designs
SHAPES & FORMS
Housing: Chamfer min. 1.5 mm x 15-45°, for easy bushing alignment Shaft: Chamfer 5 mm x 15°, for easy insertion of the shaft
VIIPLUS advises to use a force fitting mandrel for the installation of the bushing. It might be necessary to apply some grease on the outer surface of the bushing when press fitting it into the housing.
Freeze fitting is suitable for diameter > 130mm, dry ice or liquid nitrogen can be used.
