Bimetal Bushing aluminum-tin alloy (AlSn20Cu) as a sliding layer. In order to improve tribological behavior the sliding layer can be machined with lubricating grooves for oil- or grease storage and distribution. In case of corrosive environment the backing can be tin plated.Bimetal Bushing,wrapped bushes, thrust washers and bushes in connecting rods of gas engines, etc.

MATERIAL AND COMPOSITION

Materiai:Steel+AlSn20Cu

It has fairly good performance in anti-fatigue and good load capacity, anti-corrosion and smooth sliding movement.

Sliding layer can be machined with lubricating grooves and/or with grease indents

Aluminum-tin alloy for hydraumatic applications.

ASSEMBLY ADVISE

Housing: Chamfer min. 1.5 mm x 15-45°, for easy bushing alignment Shaft: Chamfer 5 mm x 15°, for easy insertion of the shaft

VIIPLUS advises to use a force fitting mandrel for the installation of the bushing. It might be necessary to apply some grease on the outer surface of the bushing when press fitting it into the housing.

Freeze fitting is suitable for diameter > 130mm, dry ice or liquid nitrogen can be used.

RANGE OF APPLICATION

It usually used as engine bearing with middle or low power, air compressor bushing. It is a good substitution for Babbit material.
