Composite plain bushing strips are designed for applications where axial space is limited, maintenance is not possible, and lack of lubricant may occur. Strips can be bent, pressed, or stamped to form flat linear guides, e.g. B. L- or V-shaped profiles or other types of dry sliding components, and suit the actual application.

PTFE composite strips are both self-lubricating and maintenance-free and offer a long service life due to their low friction. Despite their compact design, these strips can take heavy loads and are suitable for relatively slow rotating or oscillating movements. They also have good dimensional stability and thermal conductivity.

PTFE composite strips consist of a sheet steel support on which is sintered a porous tin / bronze layer 0.2-0.4 mm thick. Further, by a rolling process, the pores of the sintered layer are filled with a mixture of additives of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and molybdenum disulfide. This additional 5 to 30 µm thick lapping layer provides an optimal combination of the mechanical properties of sintered tin / bronze and the good sliding and lubricating properties of the PTFE mixture.

POM composite strips feature a sheet-steel backing with a 0.2–0.4 mm sintered tin/bronze layer topped by a 0.3 mm acetal (POM) resin cover with additive-filled grease pockets that must be lubricated before installation. Their compact, low-maintenance design withstands heavy loads, reduces misalignment and accommodates slow rotational or oscillating movements, making them ideal for harsh or contaminated environments where frequent lubrication isn’t feasible.
