Technical requirements and process flow of guide bush processing
Technical requirements for guide bush processing:

(1) After the guide bush is processed, the cylindricity tolerance of its working part should meet the requirements.

(2) The guide bush should be carburized after processing. The quenching hardness of the carburized bimetallic bushing is 58-62 HRC, and the carburized layer should be uniform.

(3) The coaxiality tolerance of the diameter of the guide sleeve and the fixed die base should not exceed 1/2 of the diameter tolerance of the graphite guide sleeve in the working part. For the processing of the guide bush, the general graphite inlaid bearing is to leave a grinding allowance of 0.3mm after rough turning. Circular grinding.

The technological process of guide bush processing:

(1) Material preparation: Cut off the round steel, leave a cutting allowance of 4 mm (both ends) for the end face within the length range, and leave a turning allowance of 3 to 4 mm on the diameter of the cylinder.

(2) Drilling: leave 2-3mm allowance for turning end face, 2mm allowance for turning and grinding for drilling guide sleeve holes, and allowance for grinding for turning cylindrical tools, boring holes and oil grooves.

(4) Inspection: inspect the dimensions of the first few processes.

(5) Heat treatment: according to the heat treatment process, to ensure that the depth of the carburized layer is 0.8-1.2mm, and the hardness is 58-62 HRC.

(6) Grinding: Grind the inner hole with a grinding allowance of 0.01 mm, and grind the outer circle to the size.

Under actual conditions, the allowable PV value of wet running may be nearly a hundred times higher than that of dry running.

The design types of graphite bearings are cylindrical, cylindrical instead of flanged, circular, and special structures. However, considering the strength of graphite bearings, the thickness of carbon bearings must be larger than that of metal bearings, and the thickness of the inner diameter is 1/5-1/7. The main parameters of general bronze graphite oil-impregnated bearings: the false specific gravity is 5.5g/cm3–6.0g/cm3, the radial damage strength is generally not less than 2.5N, and the volume oil immersion rate of No. 20 engine oil is not less than 15%.

There are two manufacturing methods for inlaid graphite bearings. One is the casting method.
