How to install bronze bushings

Copper bushing inspection and installation method:

1, outer diameter: ring gauge through (GO) and stop (no GO), ring gauge through end is the largest outer diameter, ring gauge stop, end is the smallest outer diameter.

2. Inner diameter: Press the bushing into the reference hole (H7)

Check the bushing with a cylindrical plug gauge, the through end of the plug gauge is the smallest size of the bushing inner hole, the stop end of the plug gauge is the largest size of the bushing inner hole.

Installation precautions:

1, before assembly, ensure that the bushing, no foreign matter on the surface of the seat hole, the surface of the seat hole should be as smooth as possible to avoid scratches during assembly.

2, assembly can be properly coated with lubricating oil on the outer surface of the bushing, to help the bushing more convenient installation, but not too much.

3. The core shaft should be pressed into the assembly slowly (oil press is recommended), and it is forbidden to knock the bushing directly to avoid deformation.

4. In order to make the assembly simpler and not damage the wear-resisting layer, the end face of the shaft must have excessive chamfering and smoothness. The material of the shaft is suggested to be bearing steel surface hardened HRC45, and the surface roughness is RZ2-3.
