The Oil-free Bushing series of solid bronze plain bearings with solid graphite lubricant inserts combines the advantages of both worlds. On the one hand, the insert with a base made of turned bronze has the advantages of a solid plain bearing, such as high load capacity and excellent suitability for shock loads. On the other hand, thanks to the solid lubrication of the plain bearings, the regularly recessed lubricant reservoirs allow for longer maintenance intervals.

In these recesses, the bronze plain bearings absorb dust particles and the coefficient of friction at the bearing position is reduced by solid lubrication with graphite.Oil-free Bushing’s solid cast bronze plain bearings conform to ISO 4379 and are also characterized by their resistance to high temperatures above 250°C and low wear – even under high loads.

What is CuSn12?

Alloy CuSn12 is a phosphor bronze, often referred to as “gear bronze”, which meets the requirements of DIN 1705 alloy GC-CuSn12. CuSn12 has good machinability, high strength and good corrosion resistance to seawater and salt water, making it suitable for use in pump and valve components.
